Her career began in Western Australia in retail fashion where she was quickly promoted from salesperson to management in under 5 years. Employers were quick to recognise her passion, ability to create sales, encourage others to do the same and keep all customers smiling, happy and returning to the store. Due to management promotion, Kim’s leadership and customer service skills developed rapidly. Seeing the need to extend herself, Kim moved into a new industry to challenge herself and gain more professional sales skills.
In every position, in every industry, Kim became the number one sales person.
Her personal customer service motto, ” WHAT-EVER THE CUSTOMER NEEDS” ensured she was always well received and a preferred supplier.
30+ years in the fashion industry from swim to high fashion wholesale sales and being National Sales Manager with well recognised Australian fashion brands, Kim took on her greatest challenge and realised a long term goal, to do it for herself.
Van Weelde fashion opened its doors in 1999, and has grown from strength to strength ever since.
